Submitting papers to this symposium promotes innovation and the development of sustainable power systems, aiding the global energy transition. It offers a platform for knowledge sharing and networking, influencing policy and fostering industry collaboration. Additionally, authors gain international recognition through publication in the CIGRE Science & Engineering journal, with outstanding contributions featured in Electra magazine.
The symposium will address critical themes necessary for transitioning to sustainable energy systems. It is divided into two primary topic streams.
One of the topic streams is the integration of Renewable Energy Resources to the Grid, for example developing environmentally friendly power grids and equipment, new applications and technologies applied to AC and DC onshore and offshore grid, or maintenance and services applied to AC and DC onshore and offshore grid.
The other topic streams is technologies supporting the power grid for energy transition to carbon neutral energy production. Papers on this theme could for example address coordination between AC and DC networks, inverter based control interacting with existing system and converter stability issues or optimization and increasing of the capacity of the energy transmission network.
